Having extensive experience at Senior Management levels within both the Finance and Manufacturing sectors, Rowen Gransden followed the entrepreneurial path and established a consulting business in 2003.

In business he experienced the myriad of challenges that come with a start-up business through its growth phases – planning, technology, systems, databases, marketing, sales, cash flows and finding the right people.

Rowen’s experience in manufacturing and his business qualifications led him to create a ‘lean’ business model, building a small, highly-skilled consulting team, while keeping overheads low.

As he grew his customer base Rowen found affinity and shared challenges with clients who welcomed him as a trusted advisor, confidante, coach and mentor. This led to the establishment of the Smart Advantage brand in 2009.

Rowen Gransden

Having extensive experience in business ownership and in Executive Management roles in Finance, Manufacturing and Professional Services sectors, Rowen has contributed to the success of many companies.

With experience leading major organisational and cultural change projects, Rowen partners with his clients to capitalise on opportunities and has contributed to the introduction of product and service diversity to enhance profitability, promote growth and counter economic cycles.

He has stimulated the development and implementation of strategic business plans and created high performing teams through selection and development of key managers and staff.

Rowen leads a consulting team that has extensive consulting experience, offering a broad range of business support services, including mentoring, leadership development, organisational development reviews, recruitment, psychometric assessments and sourcing of specialist contract resources

Catherine Frost

Catherine has been a senior consultant with Recruit Smart since 2006, and brought with her a wide range of work valuable experiences gained over her career.

Prior to joining Recruit Smart, Catherine worked in manufacturing for 5 years which aided her understanding of manufacturing operations including scheduling, planning, quality and logistical processes.

Her career commenced in the Finance Industry, working in customer service, call centre and marketing administrative areas before moving to administrative roles in the professional services and manufacturing.

Throughout her roles, Catherine’s customer service focus, adaptability and dependable nature have seen her excel and compliments her skills set with these attributes.

Steve Grigg

Steve has extensive experience in senior human resource consultancy roles and business administration with a strong commercial focus. He has a successful track record in the strategic and operational management of people and delivery of value-added human resource and business support solutions to achieve business objectives.

As a Senior Manager in the corporate sector, Steve has actively participated in people management solutions associated with structural reviews including exit strategies, retrenchment management and the retention and energising of Management and staff.

His past involvement in the franchise industry as a member and Director of the ‘Franchise Council of South Australia’ board supports his commercial banking experience in understanding challenges faced by the small to medium enterprise business sector.

Steve appreciates that every business is unique and he is dedicated to working closely with clients to ensure the delivery of the optimum business outcome in each situation.
